How is soy wax made?

The process of creating soy wax begins by extracting the oil from soy beans. The oil is then purified to give it a pristine quality. Next, the oil goes through a process called hydrongenation which turns it into a solid substance.

We create our soy candles using only EcoSoya advanced soy wax. Unlike other vegetable or soy waxes on the market, EcoSoya is 100% vegetable guaranteed.

Candle care

Never leave a candle burning for more than 3-4 hours. After that amount of time you should always extinguish the candle, allow the wax to completely cool and trim the wick before lighting again. Failure to do so can be dangerous, so please burn your candles wisely and safely.

Making natural palm wax

Palm trees bear fruit in bunches, which are harvested and sent to palm oil mills where they are sterilised and stripped. The oil is then extracted, clarified and purified. This process ensures our palm wax is 100% natural. Palm kernels have one of highest oil contents of any plant, giving it a high wax yield.

Safety tips

• Always place your candles on a sturdy, non-flammable surface. Or, use a candle holder.
• Avoid handling candle containers whilst burning as they will be hot.
• Keeping lit candles out of drafts in your home will prevent uneven burning.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep candles out of reach of children.
• Always remove labels and wrapping before lighting candles.
• Keep wicks trimmed to 6mm long and remove any excess.
• When lighting candles always allow room for the flame and heat.
